Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a motivated Water Resources Engineer-in-Training (EIT) for Summer 2027 to join the team in Raleigh, NC (and other US locations).

The role focuses on stormwater modeling, drainage design, hydraulic analyses, and flood studies, with opportunities to contribute to plan development, reports, and cost estimates. The candidate should have an ABET-accredited engineering degree, strong math and writing skills, and exposure to MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited Program.
• General knowledge of design software including MicroStation, AutoCAD, Revit.
• Strong communication and writing skills; detail-oriented and collaborative.
• 0-2 years of experience; internship experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic computations, reports, and modeling.
• Design and prepare construction drawings for water resources projects.
• Assist in development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Contribute to flood studies, drainage/culvert analysis, and plan development.
• Support team with documentation, checks, and client communications.
