Job summary
Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks an experienced Engineer in Training to support our Water Resources design team in Kansas City. Primary work includes water-related projects such as drainage, potable water infrastructure, and sanitary/wastewater systems.
The role offers mentorship from senior engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We require an ABET-accredited BS in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources and an EIT certificate, with 2+ years of relevant
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resource Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university (Masters considered).
- EIT Certification (FE exam) required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in design production, calculations, or technical writing.
- Knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley design platforms is a plus.
- Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD or USACE HEC programs is a plus.
- GIS experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support field investigations or assessments.
- Perform design engineering calculations.
- Assist in the design of water and stormwater infrastructure.
- Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in writing and production of project reports.
- Work under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineers.
