Job summary

RK&K is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our Baltimore, MD office. You will design and analyze drainage and stormwater systems, erosion control, watershed studies, and bridge hydraulics across major projects from interstates to water quality and flood mitigation.

Essential functions include preparing construction plans, reports, environmental permit drawings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The role offers hybrid work and growth opportunities at RK&K.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
2+ years of experience in Civil Water Resources or Transportation Engineering.
Working knowledge of basic hydrologic and hydraulic principles.
EIT or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Experience with MicroStation/AutoCAD.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work both collaboratively/in a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

Deliver water resource projects including drainage design and flood studies.
Evaluate bridge hydraulics and scour countermeasures.
Delineate drainage basins.
Design erosion and sediment control systems.
Prepare construction plans, specifications, design reports, and environmental permit drawings.
Support field investigations.
Collaborate with other disciplines on design challenges.
