Job summary

Schnabel Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level (Staff) Civil Engineer for our Longmont, Colorado office who is eager to work in hydraulics and water resources.

The role offers exposure to dam and water resources projects and opportunities to learn from experienced professionals in a collaborative team setting. The ideal candidate will hold a ABET-accredited civil engineering degree and have 0–2 years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and communication skills and a willingness to perform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in water resources, hydraulics, hydrology, dams, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and engineering calculations for water resources and dam projects.
• Develop computer models, engineering reports, drawings, and technical documentation under supervision.
• Participate in field investigations, inspections, and data collection activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support project delivery.
• Assist with proposal preparation, technical research, and other project-related activities.
• Continue developing technical expertise through training, mentorship, and hands-on project experience.
