Job summary

VHB seeks an early-career Water Resources Engineer to contribute to a diverse portfolio addressing flooding, water quality, and resiliency in Virginia. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience in water resources or civil engineering.
• Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and related software.
• Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, PCSWMM, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or ORD preferred.
• EEIT or PE licensure pursuit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support water resources projects from planning through design and construction.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modeling using industry-standard software.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, design plans, and permit applications.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and agencies to develop practical solutions.
• Assist with project management and construction administration activities.
