Job summary

LimnoTech is seeking an early career environmental or water resources engineer or scientist to join our team at one of our offices (Ann Arbor, MI; Los Angeles, CA; the Twin Cities; or DC). The position is fully in-person for an introductory period, with a possible hybrid schedule later, and the start is May or June 2027.

Initial responsibilities include watershed restoration design and planning, stormwater and green infrastructure design, H&H evaluations, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering (Environmental, Water Resources, or Coastal) or environmental science from an accredited university program is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as are strong analytical and computational abilities.
• Strong analytical and computational abilities (MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Python and/or R)
• Effective at synthesis of technical information to a broad audience.
• Must be legally able to work in the U.S. for any employer (proper documentation is required).

Responsibilities

• Watershed, stream, lake, and related ecosystem restoration design and planning
• Stormwater management design and planning
• Green infrastructure design and planning
• Coastal restoration design and planning
• Hydraulic and hydrologic (H&H) evaluations and modeling
• Combined sewer and stormwater investigations,
• Surface water and collection system hydraulic and water quality modeling, including model input development, model calibration, model application, model output evaluation, and presentation of results,
• Field data collection,
• Large dataset management and analysis.
