Job summary

LimnoTech is seeking an early career environmental or water resources engineer or scientist to join our team at one of our offices (Ann Arbor, MI; Los Angeles, CA; the Twin Cities; or DC). The position is fully in-person for an introductory period, with a possible hybrid schedule later, and the start is May or June 2027.

Initial responsibilities include watershed restoration design and planning, stormwater and green infrastructure design, H&H evaluations, and data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering (Environmental, Water Resources, or Coastal) or environmental science from an accredited university program is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as are strong analytical and computational abilities.
• Strong analytical and computational abilities (MS Excel, Google Sheets, and Python and/or R)
• Effective at synthesis of technical information to a broad audience.
• Must be legally able to work in the U.S. for any employer (proper documentation is required).

LimnoTech anticipates an exciting opportunity in Spring 2027 for an early career environmental or water resources engineer or scientist to help meet ongoing/expanding project needs. The selected candidate will be based in one of LimnoTech's primary office locations (Ann Arbor, Los Angeles, Twin Cities, or DC). The position will be fully in-person for an introductory period, after which a hybrid schedule may be considered. The anticipated start date for this role is May or June 2027. Our engineers and scientists work closely with senior staff to develop sound approaches for addressing our clients’ problems. Initial tasks are likely to include watershed characterization and assessments, water resources risk evaluations, water quality data management and analysis, modeling support, and assistance with field work. Responsibility and opportunities will be commensurate with experience and capability.
