Job summary

Texas Water Development Board is seeking qualified engineers and project managers to advance flood risk reduction projects across Texas. The role involves managing complex FIF CAT 1 and related flood planning work, with emphasis on hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, contract administration, and coordination with multiple agencies.

Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering background, Texas PE license (or ability to obtain), and proven experience in grant management, budgeting, and project

Qualifications

  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, mapping, planning, and design.
  • Strong background in managing grants and contracts for engineering projects.
  • Project management experience including schedules, budgets, and change orders.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications for financial assistance and advise applicants on TWDB requirements.
  • Develop and manage grant and professional services contracts, scopes of work, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with federal and state agencies on projects and programs.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and costs; oversee payments and invoicing.
  • Conduct on-site observations to monitor construction for compliance with TWDB rules.
