Job summary

Texas Water Development Board is seeking qualified engineers and project managers to advance flood risk reduction projects across Texas. The role involves managing complex FIF CAT 1 and related flood planning work, with emphasis on hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, contract administration, and coordination with multiple agencies.

Ideal candidates will have a Civil Engineering background, Texas PE license (or ability to obtain), and proven experience in grant management, budgeting, and project

Qualifications

Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, mapping, planning, and design.
Strong background in managing grants and contracts for engineering projects.
Project management experience including schedules, budgets, and change orders.

Responsibilities

Review applications for financial assistance and advise applicants on TWDB requirements.
Develop and manage grant and professional services contracts, scopes of work, and budgets.
Coordinate with federal and state agencies on projects and programs.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, and costs; oversee payments and invoicing.
Conduct on-site observations to monitor construction for compliance with TWDB rules.
