Job summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects seeks a Water Resources Engineer in Salt Lake City with 4–10 years of experience to lead and support municipal water resources projects.

You will perform project engineering, supervise staff, and conduct stormwater modeling, floodplain and hydrologic studies, and permitting tasks while coordinating with geomorphology, biology, planning and other hydraulic engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Hydrology and/or Hydraulics preferred.
• 4–10 years of progressively responsible water resources experience.
• Utah Professional Engineer License or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and task management on water resources design projects.
• Supervise junior engineers and support staff on hydraulic tasks within large projects.
• Conduct stormwater collection systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Perform sediment transport and scour analyses for water resources projects.
• Assist in water resources permitting efforts.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and oral presentations.
• Assist in preparing plans and specifications for detention, storm drains, flood control facilities and other hydraulic structures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions and support business development.

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 4-10 years of experience to support our Water Resources Group in our Salt Lake City office.
