Job summary

Career Collective is seeking an Engineering Project Manager in California to coordinate civil engineering projects spanning water/wastewater and site development. You will mentor team members and oversee scopes, timelines, and client interactions.

The role emphasizes leadership, design capability, and strong organizational skills, with experience in AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD or Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–4 years of civil engineering experience related to site design, land development and land use permitting.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, plans and specifications, and their application to public works and construction projects.
• Ability to foster a creative engineering environment.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Water CAD, Sewer CAD or Civil 3D, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Develop project scopes and objectives and coordinate all project efforts - both administrative and technical - to ensure the most gainful and cost-effective outcome of assigned tasks.
• Establish short and long-term goals and create appropriate timelines for their completion, subsequently assigning specialized teams to accommodate related needs.
• Schedule, lead, and attend client vision sessions.
• Develop new relationships and work to enhance existing partnerships.
• Write project proposals
• Provide management of internal finances, including billing, invoice generation, and asset/resource allocation
• Perform quality assurance/control on others' work, verifying methodologies, calculations, outcomes, etc.

As the Engineering Project Manager you will coordinate and manage the work of other professionals, providing practical, inspired designs for infrastructure projects ranging widely in scope, including water treatment and distribution, wastewater treatment and collection, stormwater, small roadway, and site development assignments. You will serve as a mentor, teacher, and advisor, guiding junior team members.
