Job description

Flooding and dam safety challenges are increasing and so is the need for engineers who can model, predict, and design resilient solutions. This role offers the chance to work on impactful projects involving floodplain analysis, dam safety, and water resources systems across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling using HEC-RAS
  • Support floodplain analysis, mapping, and permitting (including FEMA submittals)
  • Conduct dam breach, hazard, and failure analyses
  • Prepare technical reports, studies, and permit applications
  • Assist with design of floodplain crossings and dam-related projects
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and project teams
  • Conduct site visits and inspections
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of HEC-RAS experience
  • Proficiency in GIS (e.g., ArcMap)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
