Job description

Position Overview

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 4–10 years of experience to support our Water Resources Group in our ElPaso office. The Engineer will perform analysis and design as a Project Engineer on complex water‑resource–related projects for municipal clients and support other divisions as requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and task management on water‑resources design projects.
• Supervise and delegate work to junior engineers and support staff to manage hydraulic‑engineering tasks within larger complex projects.
• Conduct stormwater collection‑systems modeling and design.
• Perform floodplain, inundation, and hydrologic studies.
• Conduct sediment‑transport and scour analyses to support water‑resources projects.
• Assist in water‑resources permitting efforts.
• Collect, evaluate, and present data in technical reports and oral presentations.
• Prepare engineering plans and specifications for detention facilities, storm drains, flood‑control facilities, and other hydraulic structures.
• Work independently and within multidisciplinary teams of geomorphologists, biologists, planners, emergency managers, and hydraulic engineers.
• Contribute to business development, marketing, and proposal‑preparation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Hydrology and/or Hydraulics (or related) preferred.
• 4–10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the study, design, and construction administration of water‑resource‑related projects.
• Texas Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain one within six months.
• Not currently sponsoring applicants for work visas.

Location & Compensation

Job Location: ElPaso, Texas

Annual Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000+ depending on experience
