HDR, Inc. seeks a Water Resources EIT/Coordinator in Des Moines to support flood risk reduction, hydraulics, and water resources studies under project engineers.

You will produce design calculations, draft reports, and assist with CAD/Hydraulic modeling; a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering is required. The role emphasizes self-motivation and teamwork within an employee-owned culture. Full-time position in the Des Moines area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite, standard CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.

Responsabilités

• Focus on water resources projects including flood risk reduction, levees, dam and spillway rehabilitation, flood control, channel restoration/rehabilitation, grade control structures, wetland and lake restoration, stormwater detention and conveyance, and riverine structures.
• Work under project engineers on the application of various design engineering and modeling techniques in the development of water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
• Focus on hydraulics and hydrologic modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
• Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and perform water resources studies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
