Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Designer/EIT to contribute to projects for federal, state and local municipalities. You will work under project engineers, focusing on hydraulics, hydrology modeling, and water resources studies to support flood control and environmental sustainability.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, an EIT certificate or are pursuing it, and are self-motivated with the ability to collaborate within our employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of task.

Responsibilities

• Work under project engineers on the application of design engineering and modeling techniques for water resource projects for federal, state and local municipalities.
• Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater collection systems modeling, data collection, assimilation, and presentations.
• Focus on projects including flood control, river design, stream grade control structures, dike systems, levees, stream channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland and lake restoration, watershed issues and non-point source loading and point source design.
