Stratus Team in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Design Engineer to join the Water Resources group. You will prepare detailed drawings for municipal water distribution systems under licensed engineers, contributing to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including advanced features.
• Strong understanding of civil design principles, construction documentation, and permitting requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed design drawings, plans, and models for municipal and private water distribution systems in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Assist with analyzing stormwater management systems.
• Utilize advanced Civil 3D features and other design software to create and modify engineering drawings and plans ensuring adherence to project specifications and company standards.
• Conduct research on materials, codes, and regulations to support design efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather technical input and integrate various engineering systems into designs.
• Participate in project meetings, taking notes and providing updates on assigned tasks to ensure that design development is on track.
