Job summary

Stantec's Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a Student Intern to join our multi-disciplinary team of water resources professionals. You will support data collection, calculations, charts, graphs, and modeling using Excel or hydraulic software, and help prepare drawings and technical memoranda.

• The intern must have good attention to detail.
• Willingness to assist full-time staff with various tasks.
• Experience with data gathering, charts or graphs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Gain and apply experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary teams on projects across Arizona and the western U.S.
• Assist with planning and designs for pipelines, lift stations, and drainage structures.
• Support administration of construction-phase activities.
• Assist in development of design documents and permit applications.
• Develop plans and exhibits with CAD and GIS software.
• Gather information for engineering reports and technical studies.
• Assist project managers and engineers as needed.
• Duties may also involve field work.
