Job summary

Stillpoint AEC is seeking a Civil Engineer with focus in water resources and stormwater for our Seattle region. The role emphasizes drainage design, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, and floodplain management across challenging projects.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, develop models, prepare technical reports, and coordinate with clients and agencies. PE licensure is preferred; EIT will be considered as you advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Experience in water resources, stormwater, drainage, or hydrologic/hydraulic engineering within a consulting environment preferred.
• Experience with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, floodplain analysis, or watershed engineering.
• PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates considered.
• Experience with modeling platforms such as HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS, EPA SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HydroCAD, ICPR, StormCAD, or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, GIS analysis, or related mapping platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and support water resources and stormwater projects including drainage infrastructure and floodplain management.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater modeling, drainage calculations, and floodplain evaluations.
• Design storm drainage systems, detention/retention facilities, channels, culverts, outfalls, and other stormwater infrastructure.
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models to evaluate runoff, conveyance, flood elevations, and drainage performance.
• Prepare drainage reports, stormwater plans, calculations, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with municipalities, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support FEMA floodplain studies, CLOMR/LOMR applications, and related regulatory processes.
