Job summary

Permian Resources in Midland, Texas seeks a Water Resource Engineer reporting to the Water Resource Manager. The role designs, develops and maintains analytical reporting for water and leads budgeting, cost tracking and project readiness across the water function.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical ability with clear communication, contributing to a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with field personnel, regulators and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and drive cost-saving opportunities.
• Excellent presentation skills and visibility to senior leadership.
• Experience with data gathering, interpretation, and analysis.
• Lead budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting and project readiness.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data for current and future water assets.
• Collaborate with field personnel to ensure data integrity.
• Create and maintain analytical dashboards, including Spotfire data processing.
• Produce and distribute weekly reports to internal and external partners.
• Process allocations and reconcile run tickets against water statements.
• Own daily cost tracking and monthly accrual meetings.
• Build budgets for new areas and reconcile them to actuals.
• Work with third party vendors and regulators on data requests and auditing.
• Forecast future water needs with development and production teams.
• Track project readiness: ROW, Permits, SUAs.
