Job summary

AWRA Colorado is seeking a Water Resources Technician to support water rights administration, water conservation, and water supply planning within the district. Under supervision, the technician produces, summarizes, and conveys technical information to district staff and external stakeholders, assists with GIS data management, and helps run conservation programs.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a Colorado driver's license, and successful completion of pre-employment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in water resource management, watershed science, civil engineering, or closely related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may substitute for education.
• Colorado driver's license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support water rights administration and water conservation initiatives.
• Assist with water supply planning and data analysis.
• Produce, summarize, and convey technical information to District personnel and stakeholders.
• Assist with outreach and management of water conservation programs.
• Manage surplus water leases and monitor allocations.
• Update, organize, and map water resource and use data in GIS.

Education

Bachelor's degree in water resource management, watershed science, civil engineering, or closely related field
