Job summary

Prince William County Service Authority is seeking candidates to learn and perform operations at an advanced water reclamation facility. Trainees will work with experienced operators to learn duties and acquire certifications while supporting project work and following established procedures.

Roles include operating plant machinery, collecting samples, maintaining logs, and coordinating maintenance with supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class 4 Virginia DPOR Wastewater License within two years.
• Must pass skill level exams within two years.
• Must pass practical exams within two years.
• Must work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Learn water reclamation facility operation and operate plant machinery.
• Maintain logs and monitor plant parameters.
• Collect samples and perform tests for process control.
• Coordinate maintenance with supervisors to control costs.
• Work rotating day/night shifts as scheduled.
