Job summary

Sacramento County is seeking a Water Quality Control Systems Technician to maintain and repair pneumatic, chemical, electric, and electronic components and their instrumentation. Work involves analog and digital networks, telemetry, and computer control equipment in process instrumentation.

The ideal candidate will diagnose faults, read charts and schematics, and coordinate with operations and maintenance teams. A valid California driver license is required; probation applies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret analog and digital schematics and diagrams.
• Experience with operation, maintenance, and repair of industrial instrumentation.
• Must have high school level English and be able to prepare reports.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pneumatic, chemical, electric, and electronic components in process instrumentation.
• Operate and test telemetry and computer control equipment used in control systems.
