Job summary

Aquarion Water Authority is seeking a Field Technician for the Water Quality department to conduct field investigations, collect samples, and support various operating departments. The role involves on-site sampling, data recording, and assisting laboratory staff with sample preparation and QA/QC.

The position reports to the Monroe Office (Monroe, CT) and is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with starting pay of $24.45 per hour. Applicants must be able to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Science and/or related field preferred.
• Valid Connecticut Driver's License and ability to obtain DEEP Boat Operator’s Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations with water sampling and field testing for water quality monitoring and compliance.
• Collect samples, perform site evaluations and provide water quality information to customers.
