Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a data analyst to support EPA and other agencies, applying R and Python to clean, analyze, and visualize water data, including geospatial datasets with ArcGIS.

The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and staff, develops dashboards with Power BI or ArcGIS Online, and prepares technical documents. A Bachelor's in a relevant field and 2–4 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant professional experience; Master’s degree may substitute for 2 years.
• Experience retrieving and analyzing large environmental datasets and geospatial data layers.
• Advanced skills in R and Python for data cleaning and analyzing large and complex datasets.
• Experience with raster and vector geospatial data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcPy.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, Power BI, or Shiny for dashboards.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Clean, analyze, and store data using R.
• Analyze raster and vector geospatial data with ArcGIS and Python.
• Review national, state, and local datasets for water projects.
• Develop tools and dashboards including ArcGIS Online or Power BI.
• Document data analysis methodologies and results.
• Conduct literature reviews on Clean Water Act topics and summarize findings.
• Provide quality control for client deliverables.
