Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical/natural sciences with courses on public/business administration or equivalent; or a high school diploma plus a two-year technical course in water distribution repair or related field.
• Two years of program management, inspection, and customer service support experience; at least one year conducting water use surveys and cross-connection inspections.
• Cross‑Connection Control Specialist Certification required during application; BAT or Water Distribution Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cross‑Connection Control Inspector in implementing and maintaining the program and databases.
• Perform Water Use Surveys with property managers, owners, and maintenance staff; track surveys and inspections.
• Inspect facilities to identify cross‑connections and work with customers to protect the drinking water system.
• Maintain backflow tester lists and notify customers of annual testing schedules.
• Prepare annual reports to WA Department of Health and related agencies.
