Job summary

City of Corinth is seeking a Water Quality Technician to perform sampling, testing, and data analysis to ensure compliance with TCEQ, EPA, and the Safe Drinking Water Act. You will collect samples, run field tests, and help maintain regulatory documentation.

Under supervision, you will coordinate with utilities staff, respond to water-quality issues, and participate in after-hours testing as needed. A high school diploma and relevant water-utility experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of work experience in water distribution or related field.
• One year experience with City of Corinth preferred.
• Texas CDL with Tankers endorsement or ability to obtain within one year.
• Class C Water license from TCEQ required within twelve months.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, samples, tests water to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Performs flushing and distribution-system maintenance as needed.
• Collects drinking water samples per plans and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts field tests for chlorine, pH, temperature, nitrite, nitrate, and similar parameters.
• Analyzes data and reports results outside parameters to supervisor.
• Maintains compliance documentation and testing records.
