Job summary

HDR, a 100% employee-owned firm, seeks experienced Project Managers for its Water Business Group to lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects across the United States. You will oversee planning, design, and construction phases, build strong client relationships, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

You will manage budgets, timelines, and resources while interfacing with agencies and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years related experience.
• At least 2 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required; Access a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership and active participant in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage small to large multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Coordinate planning and design teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Build and maintain client relationships and participate in marketing and negotiations.
• Lead meetings, workshops, and technical discussions with stakeholders.
• Interface with governing agencies during reviews and permitting processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop technical skills in water/wastewater engineering.
• Provide regular project status updates and financial reviews.
