Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Manager within the Water Business Group in the United States. You will lead small to large multi-disciplinary engineering projects, manage budgets, supervise teams, and nurture client relationships to deliver successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes strong technical leadership, coordination across planning and design teams, and active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture. Travel and collaboration across locations are common.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 7 years related experience required.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• MS Office and MS Project experience required; Access experience a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership skills are required.
• Active participation in employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and manage small to medium-sized projects and large multi-disciplinary projects.
• Coordinate and balance work across planning and design teams.
• Build and maintain client relationships, participate in marketing and negotiations.
• Lead meetings and technical discussions to align stakeholders.
• Interface with agencies during reviews and permitting.
• Facilitate design development and contract documentation sessions.
• Track budgets and manage resources to keep deliverables on time and within scope.
• Provide regular status updates with project controls and accounting teams.
• Perform engineering analyses and prepare reports.
• Mentor junior engineers in water/wastewater topics.
