Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced water design leader to oversee large water projects in the NY/NJ metro area from their Morristown, NJ office. You will guide strategy, lead design teams, manage budgets, and ensure client satisfaction across public and private clients.

The role requires 20+ years in the water sector, a PE license in NY, and strong relationships with agencies like NYCDEP and NYCDDC. Hybrid workpolicy and competitive compensation apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer in NY.
• 20+ years of experience in the water market sector.
• Demonstrated track record coordinating teams and winning work regionally.
• Strong existing contacts with public and private water clients (NYCDEP, NYCDDC, PVSC).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate strategy and business growth.
• Lead cross‑functional projects and pursue water opportunities in NY/NJ metro.
• Provide technical leadership on water design projects.
• Oversee design and construction of infrastructure projects with quality and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate activities of design engineers, technicians, and field staff.
• Ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
• Mentor junior staff to aid growth.
• Collaborate with Client Account Managers and Operations to win work.
• Develop execution strategies and support proposals and presentations with local agencies.
