Job summary

The City of Houston is seeking a Staff Analyst for the Houston Water service line under RCUD. The role supports management and analysis of water programs, and engages with the public through education, outreach, and customer service activities.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration and at least three years of relevant professional experience; graduate degrees may substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional administrative, financial or analytical experience required.
• Graduate degrees related to the type of work may substitute for the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and makes recommendations for addressing issues of medium complexity and/or sensitivity.
• Compiles data, produces information and interprets results through conclusion or recommendation.
• Performs annual regulatory reporting, quarterly water use accounting and monthly contract metrics reporting.
• Represents supervisor at meetings and functions to gather information.
• Develops reports, standard operating procedures or other documentation as assigned.
