Job summary

The Village of Ruidoso is seeking a Water Production PRV Maintenance Technician who will assist the Chief Plant Operator with maintenance and repair of pressure reducing valves and related water production systems. This is a non-exempt, hourly position requiring hands-on technical skills and the ability to work at multiple water production sites.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting valves, performing routine preventive maintenance, reading diagrams, assisting with quotes and outside

Qualifications

• High School Education or Equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in maintenance or construction.
• State of New Mexico Level 1 water certification required within 2 years of date of hire.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Must pass criminal history checks.
• Must pass a drug/alcohol test and comply with policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with PRV replacement, maintenance, and installation; troubleshoot valves and instrumentation.
• Read technical diagrams and reference valve manuals as needed.
• Obtain site safety training and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with routine maintenance of water production equipment and systems.
• Assist with water sampling and plant operator tasks as required.
