Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking a Drinking Water Process Associate Engineer in Houston, TX, to work under senior process experts on water treatment projects. You will apply knowledge of conventional treatment, coagulation, clarification, softening, and advanced processes to complex engineering challenges.

Under supervision, you will support multi-disciplinary design teams, contribute to client communications, and assist in business development activities such as proposals and conferences.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering preferred.
• 5 years of experience in water treatment.
• Knowledge of municipal effluent treatment for reuse, brackish and seawater desalination is desirable.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of engineering deliverables and calculations.
• Supports multiple projects with complex technical challenges under supervision.
• Engages in bench, pilot, and full-scale testing for performance evaluation of treatment processes.
• Develops recommendations for suitable treatment processes, equipment, or materials.
• Collects, analyzes, and manages data for process design work.
• Performs moderately complex engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Coordinates with internal and external teams for project execution.
