Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a mid-level Water Process Engineer to contribute to water treatment design across projects worldwide. You will work with senior engineers on conventional treatment processes, membrane systems, desalination and reuse aspects, while expanding expertise with teams across disciplines.

You’ll perform bench/pilot testing, prepare design deliverables, analyze data, and help develop client-ready solutions and proposals. Hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 1 year related work experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR) as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of engineering deliverables (process/mass balance, criteria, P&IDs, diagrams).
• Support multiple projects under supervision of senior engineers.
• Engage in bench, pilot, and full-scale testing for process evaluation.
• Develop recommendations for treatment processes and equipment.
• Collect and analyze data for process design work; perform engineers calculations.
• Ensure quality requirements are met and follow design standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams for project execution.
• Contribute to business development and client communications.
