Superior Water, Light and Power is seeking a Water Plant Operator for 12-hour shifts on site in Wisconsin. The role focuses on the safe operation and maintenance of a drinking water plant and related facilities, with weekend, night, and on-call duties as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; no prior experience is required, though one year of water treatment or distribution equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• One year or more demonstrated experience maintaining water treatment and/or distribution equipment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a drinking water plant and auxiliary facilities safely and efficiently.
• Work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and nights; may be on-call or standby.
• Make decisions about operation of machinery based on device readings (visual/audio).
• Direct actions during emergencies and serve as a contact for internal and external customers (after hours and weekends).
