Job summary

The City of Midland, Texas is seeking a Water Plant Maintenance Technician who will repair and maintain pumps, valves, electrical systems, and control circuits across our water purification facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with plant basins cleaning, and support safety protocols to ensure clean water for the community.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–3 years in a related field, and relevant licenses and certifications; you will work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• C Water license within 3 years of employment.
• Hazmat Awareness level and SCBA certifications within 1 year of employment.
• Texas Class B CDL or ability to obtain within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Repair pumps, valves, electrical systems and control circuits.
• Perform preventative maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Conduct annual maintenance including cleaning/painting of basins and equipment.
• Perform electrical wiring and troubleshoot electrical problems.
• Serve as shift relief with full accountability as needed.
• Perform related duties as required.
