Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in mechanics, electronics, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Extensive experience in water treatment plant operations required.
• Experience training or leading other operators desirable.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Operate all required equipment at the Water Treatment Plant and monitor systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
• Conduct rounds to inspect operations and log data from gauges, meters, and control panels.
• Monitor, adjust, and calibrate chemical feed systems to meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform daily water quality testing for key parameters.
• Record and interpret results to support safe plant operation.
• Calculate chemical dosages and plant performance measures.
• Provide guidance and training to plant operators as needed.
• Assist with scheduling and oversight of operations staff.
