Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Mechanical Piping Designer - Staff Engineering Technician to develop and modify piping layouts for water and wastewater facilities, coordinating with process equipment, structures, and underground utilities.

Under supervision, you will advance 3D piping layouts and model-based drawings using Autodesk Revit, supporting project teams across Government & Communities markets on municipal and industrial water projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate preferred.
• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
• Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts and models for water and wastewater facilities.
• Coordinate system routing with process equipment, structures, and underground utilities.
• Review design inputs for consistency and compliance with codes and BV standards.
• Perform design calculations, material quantities, and estimates.
• Support field activities and project teams as needed.
