Job summary

The Walsh Group, Ltd. is seeking a Water Pipe Fitter for the Water Mountain West/Apache Junction Sewer District in Apache Junction, Arizona.

The role involves laying, joining, wrapping, and sealing pipe for water and sewer systems on primarily heavy civil projects; manual labor; and operating hand and power tools as needed. Qualified candidates will have 1 year of verifiable construction experience, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Requires good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps, and seals pipe sections and other pipe for water/gas main and sanitary sewer.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools as directed by management.
• Perform tasks including physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
