Job summary

Archer Western Construction is seeking a Pipe Layer for the Water Mountain West/Apache Junction District in Apache Junction, Arizona. The Pipe Layer will perform pipe-laying tasks involving physical labor on construction sites including commercial, industrial, or heavy civil projects; may operate hand and/or power tools as needed; may prepare site and assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year verifiable construction experience preferred.
• Ability to climb and balance on scaffold/ladder.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lays, joins, aligns, wraps and seals pipe sections for water/gas mains and sanitary sewer.
• Operates hand and power tools as directed by supervision.
• Performs physical labor as instructed by supervisor.
