Insight Global is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support permitting and regulatory compliance for water and wastewater CIP projects in Phoenix. You will identify permitting requirements, prepare applications, and coordinate with municipal engineers, project managers, consultants, and regulators.

The role requires 3+ years in environmental compliance or permitting, with experience on public infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in environmental compliance or permitting for water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting public infrastructure projects and coordinating with municipal/regulatory teams.
• Ability to interpret contracts, permits, and regulatory documents with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support permitting and regulatory compliance for water and wastewater CIP projects, including pipelines, treatment facilities, and related infrastructure.
• Identify permitting requirements during planning and design; develop schedules and checklists.
• Prepare, coordinate, and track permit applications, approvals, renewals, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with municipal engineering teams, project managers, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Review engineering plans to identify environmental permitting requirements and conflicts.
• Track permit conditions and ensure they are incorporated into design and construction activities.
• Assist with SWPPP/stormwater compliance, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Maintain permitting logs and communicate deadlines, risks, and regulatory issues to project teams.
