Job summary

Rapids Waterpark is seeking an Entry Level Maintenance Technician for the Riviera Beach area. This seasonal, on-site role requires performing daily safety checks, assisting with attraction upkeep, and responding to operational issues during park hours.

Ideal candidates will be at least 18, hold a HS diploma or GED, and be comfortable working outdoors in varied weather. Plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or electrical basics are a plus; pool experience and CPR/CPR-AFO preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Complete daily pre-opening safety inspections of slides and attractions
• Respond to attraction shutdowns and safely restore operation
• Perform general maintenance tasks and small projects
• Maintain safety policies and proper park procedures
• Keep park facilities clean and safe for guests and staff
• Assist guests with park information and directions
• Follow all park policies and duties as assigned

Water Park Entry Level Maintenance Tech

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This is an Entry Level Position
• Complete daily pre-opening safety inspections of slides and attractions
• Respond to attraction shutdowns during park operation and safely return the attraction to operation
• Perform job related tasks and projects
• Maintain all proper safety policies and procedures
• General upkeep of the park facilities
• Pool cleaning and water testing
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other employees
• Assist customers with any questions regarding Rapids Waterpark including facility layout and amenities
• Follow all park policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic Trade experience preferred (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical)
• Basic knowledge of proper usage of tools and equipment
• Pool experience and AFO/CPO preferred
• Swimming ability required
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision and work well under pressure
• Ability to communicate effectively with public, customers and staff members in a polite and expedient manner
• Be aware, attentive, and work well with others
• Energy and enthusiasm for long days
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protection
