Job summary

Caroline County VA is seeking a Water Operator IV to oversee the operation, repair and maintenance of the county water system under the Chief Water Operator.

This role requires thorough knowledge of water treatment principles, safety precautions, and related mechanical components, with responsibilities that include performing technical work and other duties as assigned. Salary ranges are provided and a trainee option may be offered if no Operator IV is identified.

Job description

Requires thorough knowledge of the principles, practices, and equipment used in water system operations and mechanical components; repair and maintenance; knowledge of the occupational hazards of the work and necessary safety precautions; knowledge of the biological principles upon which water treatment is based.Under general supervision of the Chief Water Operator, performs technical work related to the operation, repair and maintenance of the water system, and performs related work as required.

Salary Range:$46,404.41-$49,972.47

Trainee will be considered if a qualified Operator IV applicant is not identified. Trainee salary $43,307.90 - $46,637.86
