Job summary

City of Temple, TX is seeking individuals to assist with operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting water supply and treatment facilities. The role requires working at a 24-hour facility with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, under supervision of a licensed operator.

The candidate will handle SCADA-based processes, perform lab duties, and support inspections and maintenance activities to ensure regulatory compliance and system reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class D Water Licensing from TCEQ.

Responsibilities

• Operates and monitors treatment process using SCADA; adjusts chemicals and treatment equipment in accordance with regulatory permits.
• Performs laboratory duties, maintains instruments, monitors quality control, collects samples, conducts analyses, and prepares samples for transport.
• Enters sample analysis into daily log and ensures accuracy of all records/reports on their shift.
• Meets daily with supervisor and reports performance of the entire system.
• Assists with inspections, construction and maintenance projects.
• Operates heavy equipment for facility maintenance including lift and boom trucks.
• Performs preventative maintenance on pumps, motors, and tanks; cleans and services all areas throughout the plant.
