Job summary

All Dry Services of Metro Detroit is seeking a dedicated Water & Mold Damage Technician to respond to emergencies and assess damage at homes and businesses.

You will perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, operate dehumidifiers and air movers, document activities, and communicate with clients while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in water and mold damage restoration preferred.
• Knowledge of restoration techniques, equipment, and standards.
• Familiarity with water, mold, and fire damage remediation.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy objects.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess damage extent.

Job Specifications

• Respond to emergency calls promptly and assess the extent of water, mold, or fire damage.
• Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and restoration procedures to prevent further damage.
• Implement mold remediation processes, including containment, removal, and cleaning, while adhering to industry standards.
• Set up and operate specialized equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and air scrubbers.
• Collaborate with team members and follow established protocols to ensure efficient restoration processes.
• Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials following established guidelines.
• Document all restoration activities, including photographs, measurements, and job details.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on progress and addressing any concerns.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during restoration activities.
• Maintain and clean equipment, tools, and work areas after each job.
