Job summary

Dry Force in Houston, TX is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician to assist with water damage and restoration tasks. No extensive experience required; training and coaching are provided.

You’ll set up drying equipment, monitor progress, and help restore properties to pre-loss condition, while delivering professional customer service to clients after stressful events. As part of a fast-paced team, you’ll work on-site, handle moisture readings, and follow established restoration protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move 50+ pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in attic, crawl spaces, and outdoors.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Customer service experience is a plus.
• Restoration/construction/labor experience welcome but not required.
• IICRC WRT certification preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to water damage and emergency mitigation projects.
• Extract water and remove non-salvageable materials as directed.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment: air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA scrubbers.
• Document drying progress using a company device.
• Take moisture readings and follow restoration protocols.
• Communicate professionally with customers, teammates, and management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site.
• Drive company vehicles following policies and traffic laws.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as needed.
