Job summary

Restoration 1 of Oak Harbor is seeking a motivated Water Mitigation Technician to join our team in Oak Harbor, WA. This hands-on role helps homeowners and businesses recover from water damage and restore properties to pre-loss condition.

You will respond to emergency calls, extract water, set up drying equipment, monitor progress with moisture meters and thermal imaging, and communicate with clients and insurance adjusters.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in water mitigation or restoration preferred.
• IICRC WRT/ASD certification is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Respond to water damage emergency calls and perform on-site assessments.
• Extract standing water and set up drying equipment including air movers and dehumidifiers.
• Monitor and document drying progress using moisture meters and thermal imaging tools.
• Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation as needed.
• Communicate with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters throughout the mitigation process.
• Maintain, clean, and organize equipment and company vehicles.
• Follow IICRC standards and safety protocols on every job site.
