Job summary

Dayspring Restoration is seeking a Water Mitigation Technician to join our Great Falls, MT team. You will assist with initial response to water damage, assess affected areas, remove water, set up drying equipment, and prevent further damage for homes and businesses.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in water mitigation and related fields, hold IICRC certifications, and can work an on-call schedule with overtime. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in water mitigation, mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanings.
• 1+ year experience in carpentry.
• Availability to work a rotating on-call schedule.
• Available for regular overtime.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, tight spaces.
• Able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods.
• Repeatedly push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
• IICRC Certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Effectively perform all the mitigation services the company offers.
• Equipment set up and take down.
• Containment, complete drying of the structure, and cleaning.
• Complete necessary documentation, daily logs, work orders.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards.
• Load vehicles with equipment and supplies for the day.
• Maintain basic cleanliness of company vehicles.
• Clear, professional communication with customers, team members, and managers.
• Participate in all required training.
• All other tasks as assigned by leaders.

Summary:

As a Water Mitigation Technician, you will play a critical role in the initial response and recovery efforts following water-related damage. You’ll be responsible for assessing affected areas, removing water, setting up drying equipment, and preventing further damage to residential and commercial properties. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service during what can be a stressful time for clients.

Job Duties:

• Effectively perform all the mitigation services the company offers.

• Complete necessary documentation, daily logs, work orders, etc.
• Inspect completed work to ensure company's quality standards.
• Load vehicles with necessary equipment and supplies for the day's work.
• Maintain basic cleanliness of company vehicles used each day.
• Clear, professional, and timely communication with customers, team members, and managers
• Participation in all required training assigned by Training Director
• All other tasks as assigned by the Crew Leader, Superintendent, or Manager

Qualifications:

• 1+ yearexperience in water mitigation, mold remediation and fire/smoke cleanings
• 1+ year experience in carpentry
• Availability to work a rotating on-call schedule
• Available for regular overtime
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Able to lift 50 LBS
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces, attics)
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
• Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals
• IICRC Certifications are required

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and pass MVR check
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
• Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) and a respirator when required by job.

Physical Demands / Working Conditions

• Required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, sometimes in tight spaces.
• Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move 75 lbs.
• Work is predominantly performed at a customer's property where you may encounter standing water, sewage, fire damage, smoke, mold, or other organic growth (PPE is provided).

Compensation

$18.00-$21.00 plus overtime and on-call bonus
