Job summary

Jay Peak Resort in Vermont is seeking a Water Maintenance Technician to clean, test and maintain water systems in the waterpark and related facilities. You will apply chemicals, perform basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and light electrical work while upholding safety and guest service.

This full-time, year-round role offers $18.00–$20.00 per hour with benefits including vacation/sick time, maternity/parental leave, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• One year certification from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains dress and appearance per park uniform and employee handbook.
• Tests water and follows testing rules.
• Has knowledge of pool chemistry.
• Treats water and applies chemicals (with proper licensing).
• Uses basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and light electrical.
• Practices standard shop safety.
• Performs accutrol probe cleaning and replacement.
• Safely uses hand and power tools.
• Performs troubleshooting techniques.
• Performs HVAC computer operations.
• Performs Air Handler operations.
• Knows park equipment operations and locations.
