Job summary

The City of San Benito seeks a Water Maintenance Worker / Heavy Equipment Operator to perform skilled operation of heavy construction equipment for water distribution maintenance. You will operate backhoes, loaders, excavators, dump trucks and related tools to repair and install water mains, hydrants and meters.

Requires a Texas CDL, at least two years of heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, loader, dump truck).
• Knowledge of water distribution maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and equipment manuals.
