Job summary

Valcourt in Millstone Township, NJ is seeking a Field Technician to perform hands-on construction work on commercial waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, and building-envelope projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable in active construction environments, and willing to work at heights on facades, parking garages, balconies, plaza decks, rooftops, and other commercial structures, following Foreman and Project Manager directions.

Qualifications

• Previous construction experience in waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, or related field preferred.
• Willingness to learn about commercial waterproofing and building-envelope systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a field crew.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waterproofing, concrete repair, façade restoration, and related specialty construction work.
• Follow daily instructions from Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and per project plans and manufacturer requirements.
• Assist with jobsite setup, mobilization, protection, material staging, cleanup, and demobilization.
• Prepare surfaces for waterproofing, coatings, sealants, and concrete repair.
• Remove damaged concrete, coatings, and sealants using hand and power tools.
• Perform surface prep activities including grinding, chipping, scraping, cleaning, and pressure washing.
• Assist with concrete forming, reinforcing steel installation, patching, finishing, and curing.
• Assist with installation of waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, expansion joints, and related materials.
• Assist with crack repair, epoxy injection, joint prep, caulking, and sealant installation.
• Assist with scaffolding, aerial lifts, rigging, ladders, and other access equipment as trained.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Work cooperatively with Foremen, Superintendents, technicians, subcontractors, and project partners.
• Joint sealants and caulking, expansion joint installation and repair, crack repair and epoxy injection, masonry and exterior envelope repairs

Job Details: Level: Experienced, Job Location: VALCOURT BUILDING NJ MST - Millstone Township, NJ 08535, Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly, The Field Technician performs hands-on construction work on commercial waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, and building-envelope projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, comfortable working in active construction environments, and willing to perform both vertical and horizontal specialty construction work. Projects may include building façades, parking garages, balconies, plaza decks, pool decks, rooftops, and other commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commercial waterproofing, concrete repair, façade restoration, and related specialty construction work.
• Follow daily instructions provided by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
• Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
• Assistwith jobsite setup, mobilization, protection, material staging, cleanup, and demobilization.
• Prepare work areas and surfaces for waterproofing, coating, sealant, and concrete repair applications.
• Remove damaged concrete, coatings, sealants, and other existing materials using hand and power tools.
• Perform grinding, chipping, scraping, cleaning, pressure washing, and other surface preparation activities.
• Assistwith concrete forming, reinforcing steel installation, patching, repair mortar placement, finishing, and curing.
• Install orassistwith the installation of waterproofing membranes, coatings, sealants, expansion joints, traffic-bearing systems, and related materials.
• Assistwith crack repair, epoxy injection, joint preparation, caulking, and sealant installation.
• Assistwith scaffolding, aerial lifts, swing stages, rigging systems, ladders, and other access equipment as trained and authorized.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Work cooperatively with Foremen, Superintendents, other technicians, subcontractors, and project partners.
• Joint sealants and caulking, expansion joint installation and repair, crack repair and epoxy injection, masonry and exterior envelope repairs

Qualifications: Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previousconstruction, waterproofing, concrete, restoration, masonry, roofing, or related field experience preferred.
• Willingness tolearn aboutcommercial waterproofing, façade restoration, concrete repair, and building-envelope systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a field crew.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in active construction environments.
• Strong attention to safety, workmanship, and jobsite organization.
• Comfortable working at heights, in parking garages,rooftops, balconies, façades, plaza decks, and pool decks.
• Experience with scaffolding, aerial lifts, rigging, or swing stages is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record preferred.
