Water Infrastructure Team Lead

Location: Huntsville, Alabama.

Garver seeks a Water Infrastructure Team Leader in Huntsville to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water/wastewater projects. The projects include the study, planning, design, and implementation of linear assets for water and wastewater – distribution, collection, storage, and pumping. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to grow your own team and business portfolio and drive revenue and production growth for selected clients.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and manage projects related to water distribution and wastewater collection system infrastructure.
• Work closely with Garver’s Alabama Water Business Team Leader to grow the practice.
• Assemble, develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team.
• Prepare scope-of-services and level‑of‑effort estimates for contract proposals and lead the team to successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule.
• Execute planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Develop, capture, and maintain workload for the team by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships throughout Alabama.
• Maintain a healthy network of clients across Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama.
• 8+ years of experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on linear assets, storage, and pumping for water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote.
• Strong communication skills and public speaking ability.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience supporting municipalities in Alabama.
• Experience with state and/or national conference technical presentations on water distribution and wastewater collection topics.
• Strong existing client relationships with multiple Alabama municipal water and wastewater utilities.
